COURSE OBJECTIVES
By the completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Describe eight reasons why seniors gamble;
- List ten "soft signs" of a gambling problem in an older adult;
- Identify the three basic feelings of a gambling-addicted older adult;
- Integrate the 'red flag" behaviors of a senior gambler into current prevention and clinical practice;
- List necessary life skills needed by senior adults as they recover from a gambling addiction;
- Integrate senior adult gambling addiction assessment questions into current practice;
- List nine themes that manifest themselves during levels of problem gambling for the older adult.
